Day 9 - Silk factory - Wide- narrow alley (宽窄巷子) - Sichuan Cuisines Museum
Boring day today. Cos visit silk factory =(
Every places I visited in China, silk factory, jade shop, medicine shop were included in itinerary. Sian.
Went through so many time briefing and strange thing is every silk factory will say that their silk are the cheapest or silk were good in this place. Hmm...
They sold blankets, silk cover, etc and there were a few grade for silk cover and cost differently. Ok..they were not cheap lor. The best grade cos 3500 RMB, which was around SGD 700!!
The below is interesting cos one one side is peacock and the other side is tiger. How they do it sia?

Did not bring my DSLR. I thought I will board the bus after silk factory...but no lor..hmm..lucky the DSLR was still there in bus. The tour guide informed after silk factory saying our bus would go to unload our luggage in hotel, so we boarded bus 2 instead...hmm..my canon s90 also low batt...and I did not bring my jacket also..I have to wear mum's. Should inform us mah, so I can get my items.
Chengdu people really like to play cards / majong during their free time. Ya..tour guide said the people here lead a relax life..
Saw the satay stick meat below? Remember I tried it at Hailuogou which was very nice? Here, we tried and the meat was hard and not nice.
Gai Wan Cha, special in sichuan only.. The tea house offered green tea or jasmine. I ordered green tea and mum ordered jasmine. Green tea not nice...oh ya..the waitress pour the tea leaves from packet like our 3 in one coffee mix. Hmm..not so traditional afterall.
Gai Wan Cha has been the drink style for SiChuan people since the Jian Zhong period (780-783 AD) in the Tang Dynasty. It was invented by the local general governor Cui Ning's daughter. She noticed the tea cups was too hot for the drinkers to hold in hand. She designed a small dish to be used as a tray to hold the cup. Later on people added a lid to the cup.

Ok finish the alley and board the bus. Below, mum bought for sis's girl...KAWAII.....
So I bought the following...HAHA...I got 1 blue bought not from the panda shop..cos me 25 RMB / 35 RMB?? can't remember...but this purple was more expensive. I think it was 70 RMB! I could buy 2 of the blue scarf.
Mum also tried...hahaha..so cute..
The blanket..all of us sign our wishes on it. Hmm...for???????????Tour guide said what panda coming to Singapore...don't know..
Dinner at Sichuan crusine museum. Hmm..What museum???Ok, Chan brothers had lucky draw. Our dinner was good with many dishes. Hahaha..think the best dinner!
