The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Storyline:
Balthazar Blake (NICOLAS CAGE) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (ALFRED MOLINA). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (JAY BARUCHEL), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protg. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE.

My view:

This show was ok but I don't think Dave master anything so powerful that he could defeat Maxim. Its like suddenly he is so powerful! hmm..ok lar explain by his hidden capability maybe? The show got some funny scene here and there which did not make it so boring.

Inception

Storyline:

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original scifi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobbs rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossibleinception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

My view:

This show seems interesting..it keeps me thinking of what it is about.
The beginning was quite bored while I am trying to figure out how dream worked while the actor trying to explain to their new member. It became exciting when they tried to change the mind of the rich man by dreaming. They have to enter 3 level of dream and they could not die in any of it. Its quite interesting but confusing. Someone has to stay awake to trigger the rest to wake up in each level of dream. It is action pack and include some thinking for the audience. Ending..depends on how the audience think. 1st..the actor could be still in his dream and not return. 2nd. the actor return to real life cos he is able to see his children as when in his dream, he is unable to see his children face. Hmm...depends on how u argue about your ending.

Well, I think i saw people siting up straight or thinking thru out the show. Haha...my nephew said it was an interesting show which required him to use his brain to think.
