Snowshoe trek, Aurora hunt via snowmobile

Day 2, we had our breakfast at the main building, followed by our Aurora workshop. Basically, we were being briefed on how Aurora came about. Eh...some magnetic field? I was not sure. Search the web to know more if needed. Hmm..actually I thought we could ask the person about the setting of the camera to take the Aurora. But frankly speaking, after this trip, I realized that the people does not know how to set the camera. Why I said that course, we had some travel mate who had problem setting the camera. The guide couldn't help and they turned to us for help. Well.. we were no expert! We read the web, set our camera before proceeding out at night for shooting. Hmm...

Ok, after our breakfast, we set out on our snowshoe walk. It was not easy. My friend's shoe came off a few times. Mine had no problem. But with the snowshoe, we could go everywhere without worrying that we sank in to the snow!

Had our lunch at the hut. The guide had to make the fire, toast our bread the old ways...We had sandwich and sausage for our lunch

Saw the husky on our way back.

Another hut...

Someone made this in the snow..

The Aurora bubble...we had 1 night in this bubble.

Night, we went for Aurora hunt via snowmobile.
I was scared to ride it, I let Ee ping ride it.
Nobody asked us for our license.
Anyway, we had a ride around our lodge before moving out to the wild...

Aurora KP Index for the day was 2.
We were excited enough..though it was 2.
Well, setting for the camera.
Have to set to manual mode.
Set the lens to infinity
ISO 800
Shutter speed 15.
20 would be good. ok..15, the picture will appear darker. the longer the shutter the brighter it will be.
After setting done, we just click our way without really focusing!
cool..
We had doubt initially though.

We tried very hard to take clear picture of us in the photos..but...
we had to remain very still for 15-20 sec..which was hard for us..
Trying.....and still trying...
