Another dress. Took a long time to choose a pattern from lao shi's book. So many magazine but they are too formal. This time round, I have to draw the pattern! I thought I only have to draw the basic pattern but lao shi want me to follow the pattern and draw the pattern 1st....
WoW! headache...
Below is the pattern I have to draw...
Below show how the dress to be sewed. Chim...
Ok my "obiang" cloth...haha..I die die want to use it. Wonder how it turns out and wonder whether I will wear it..hmm..hmm...
Below my unfinished drawing...can see?
Lao shi amended...and chim chim...the whole drawing..cut here cut there..wow..chim..
Ok..first find the vertical of the cloth by looking at the white printed edge of the cloth. Fold to the edge.
Pinned the pattern to the cloth and draw the outline of the pattern cut out.
For the front where the buttons will be sewed, fold allowance 5 cm inwards
The front skirt...there are 3 pieces. Same, for the button side, fold allowance 5 cm inwards.
Front were marked 1, 2 and 3...
In between, 6 cm allowance for the pleats later on.
The button side with 5cm folded inwards.
Back skirt...not sure why the zig zag for...
But lao shi asked me to draw straight line and cut straight line instead of zig zag.
Bottom allowance 3cm
Back top.
