Planning to go Jiufen initially.

However, we were just too lazy to walk in the hot weather.

We decided to just loiter around Taipei main station.

 

 

Buying my favourite Curry pastry.

 

So many cartoon drawing on the wall..

 

Tea break.

Went to into this "Maid" theme restaurant.

The waitress will come to you and said "主人..."

However, there was this minimum expenditure. I forgot how much.

There were not many customer in here.

2 guys, each siting alone at the table and us.

Seems strange.

This guy wore some funny hairband on his head. Hmmm....

 

Ordered us drinks and cakes...

 

Well, I realised why the guy wearing a hairband..

Initially I thought he was a pervert.

Ok. While we were eating our things, the "maid" came and asked to play games with us.

Whoever lost the games had to wear the hairband.

"Orbit" hairband. Lucky I won!

28 May 2013 - 火車站游透透

Set out in the morning to Taipei train station. Asked the counter for ticket to 菁桐火車站. The counter direct us to purchase from the corner counter. Then to another counter to purchase the 1 day 平溪 line ticket.

 

 

First time taking train in Taipei. A bit confusing.

Not sure which train to take.

 

 

Finally board the train. Our ticket indicated our seat number.

This train was quite good. Very comfortable.
I am not sure how we got ourselves this train as we did not board the same train back. Train back was like "MRT" No seat for us also.

1 hr plus train ride back was terrible.

 

Change at 瑞芳火車站 to 菁桐火車站.

 

We asked the "train conductor"? "Ticket collector"? ok, we asked him whether our train arrived and where to board the train.

 

Last station 菁桐火車站

I was thinking to go to the last train station then take the train back.

 

Actually there were places where we could walk to. However, we did not have time and mum does not want to walk in the hot weather.

 

We walked around the train station.

 

There's this lover bridge.

 

Best in the hot weather.

 

No time to actually explore all station.

十分火車站, visited the waterfall.

 

This dog followed us after we bought the chicken wing. Not sure why us? There were many people also bought the wings..

 

One of the popular activities here.

 

The waterfall..not bad quite nice. But to pay to get in to see this, hmm..nothing else but the waterfall..

 

It was quite a long walk to the waterfall from the train station.

And we had to walk back!

 

侯硐車站 - station where the cats were.

There were even home, small houses specially for the cats.

 

These cats have name. Hmm...not sure...

 

Back to our hotel with Bento from the train station.
